Jacky is the co-creator, along with David Soman, of the New York Times Bestselling LADYBUG GIRL and AGENT LION books. LADYBUG GIRL has been optioned and is being developed for television by HELLO SUNSHINE, and AGENT LION has been been optioned and is in development with SAND & SNOW ENTERTAINMENT, producer of HAMILTON and more.
Jacky has written several other picture books, including, SUNNY SIDE-UP, illustrated by Fiona Woodcock, OLIVE & PEKOE, illustrated by Giselle Potter, BLACK BELT BUNNY, illustrated by Jay Fleck and
GOOD DREAM DRAGON with illustrations by Courtney Dawson.
When she’s not writing children’s books, she works part-time as a bookseller at Postmark books in the Hudson Valley, and sometimes at the local elementary school library.
She is also a graphic designer and packager, who has created book jackets, trading cards, catalogs and more. Previously she was an art director and production manager at Chronogram and Upstate House magazines and a television producer, working with The Jim Henson Company, National Geographic Television, TBS, PBS, and Comedy Central.
She has served on the Wild Earth board, supporting nature connection, and on the Rosendale Library board for years.
Sometimes she bake cakes, gets lost in the woods with her rescue dog that looks like both a lion and a bear, and gardens for pollinators. She is a mom of two amazing humans, and lives in the small town of Rosendale, NY.
